Keypression
a laptop extension by David Loehr (www.scienceunderfire.com)
i decided to transform the keyboard into a playfield. the keyboard layout is therefore mapped to a pixelized grid upon the screen so that any interaction with the keyboard’s keys lightens up a pixel on the fullscreen. with this “keypression” one can draw or play in a simplified way that reminds of the low px technology of early 80s computing. a handmade mat overlay and some kind of wooden “pen” completes the extension. watch my G4 powerbook turn into an oldschool console!
