Basic Idea


The gasometer in Berlin Schöneberg was an important part of the towns gas-supply. A light-installation should lead the attention on its elegancy and its simplicity. Further on a connection between past and present of this building is created. This installation should not be more important than the architechture, but integrate itself in the existing aesthetics.

The Result


In face of partial distributed pixels information could be made readable. A non-moving image, like the shown illustration, is not noticeable in its signification. This changes if the content starts moving. For example a scrolling Text or a movie. The human mind puzzles these parts together.
